Token Skeptic #88 - On Codes Of Conduct Part II – Sexism, Skepticism And Civility Online
This is a follow-up to the earlier podcast episode (which featured on the CSICOP website), called 'Codes of Conduct'. Features interviews with:
Jennifer Ouellette - Jennifer is the author of three popular science books, specialises in physics and many related topics, with particular emphasis on how science intersects with popular culture, as well as science communication and outreach.
Karen Miller of the More Women In Skepticism Blog (http://www.morewomeninskepticism.wordpress.com)
Viv Smythe - Australian writer, webwrangler, blogger - creator of Hoydens About Town and the Finally A Feminism 101 Blog (http://www.finallyfeminism101.wordpress.com)
Since writing Civility, Inclusivity, Sexism and Skepticism, I’ve received a number of emails about the issues raised and I was even approached several times in person at the SkepTrackDragon*Con about it. The case of Karen Stollznow and her experiences with the Australian Skeptics, the James Randi Educational Foundation’s ‘Code Of Conduct’ at the Amazing Meeting 9, and the history (or ‘herstory’?) of women within the skeptical movement were of particular interest to many, and I’m glad to say that I’ve been encouraged to continue writing and podcasting on this and related topics.

Token Skeptic #85 - On Something Fierce - Interview With Marian Call
“The music is a little silly but mostly very sincere and honest, mostly acoustic, occasionally symphonic, eclectic, rhythmic and warm with a side of whimsy.”
Singer-songwriter Marian Call has just finished her “49>50 Tour”, which went all around the US (and most of the provinces of Canada). She lives in Anchorage, Alaska but has a huge following around the world for her complex harmonies and witty lyrics, which include references to Firefly, Battlestar Galactica and being a geek (even if it’s not going to always be chic).
Token Skeptic #84 - On Being Very Superstitious - Dragon*Con Panel 2011
This is Very Superstitious - psychology, belief, weird things - what does the research show and when is superstition not the way? Kylie Sturgess, Barbara Drescher, Stephen King, Robert Blaskiewicz and Dr Steve Novella.
