With lots of thanks to the organisers of the incredibly successful QEDCon - here's the audio of the much-discussed workshop that was held on Sunday, 6th February at the Ramada Jarvis Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester. The QEDCon Skeptics In The Pub workshop was hosted by Simon Perry and Michael Marshall upstairs in the breakout room during QEDCon and features discussion between members of the audience about various issues regarding building numbers, accommodating people, topics and 'how to'.

My first thought was - holy shit, these guys plan their meetings six months in advance???

I'm not nearly as organised as that! Any impression of organisational ability on my part is strictly an illusion. Sure, I got PZ Myers after the atheist convention, Saunders and Dr Rachie for Science Week, and Geo, but I honestly was only pretending. Case in point - last weekend was our first anniversary. Seven people. If I'd had a modicum of organisational ability I would have packed that place.

It was unfortunate also that for the first half of the recording, the contributions from the floor were more or less inaudible. But that was fixed when they started a roving mic.

All in all, some good ideas there. Do you happen to have the URL of the website that Simon mentioned?

Yes, I had to work with what audio they gave me - it is slightly audible and the answers are clear enough.
